Dr. Rick Michael

Dr. Rick Michael was born and raised in Shreveport, leaving after graduation from Loyola College Prep to attend Texas A&M University. After graduation from Texas A&M, he received his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He then moved to Nashville, TN to complete a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Once he completed his combined residency, he served an extra year as the Chief Resident in Ambulatory Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Dr. Michael moved back to Shreveport in 2002. Before assuming the reigns of SureAccess MD, LLC from Dr. Emma McCarty in May of 2015, he practiced in a variety of settings including private practice and hospital medicine in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics as well as urgent care with Velocity Care Urgent Treatment Centers. His practice philosophy is simple and encompasses his desire to treat all patients as he would want his own family treated and to consistently study both the history and the cutting edge of the discipline of medicine. He is currently Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. He is active in organized medicine and served as the President of the Shreveport Medical Society for the term of 2013-2014. He is also active in the community and has served or currently serves on several Boards of Directors outside of the field of medicine.

Foremost among the many blessings in his life are his wife, Kristi, a local Obstetrician & Gynecologist, and his two daughters. He loves participating in his family’s activities and hobbies and is a passionate traveler with his family. His personal interests otherwise include running, triathlons, reading, tennis, and golf.

Natalia Luraguiz

Dr. Natalia Luraguiz

Dr. Natalia Luraguiz is a Board Certified Family Doctor. She received her undergraduate and doctorate degree from Hospital Italiano in Buenos Aires, Argentina. After completing her elective internship and Postdoctoral Fellowship at LSUHSC in Shreveport, LA, she completed her Family Medicine residency at UAMS, Little Rock AR.

Prior to coming to Shreveport, LA, Dr. Natalia practiced in East Texas for 6 years, serving as Clinic Director at the Toledo Bend Clinic, ER trauma Director for Sabine County Hospital, and as Hospitalist including Nursing Home services. In 2007 she opened her MedSpa and Wellness Center in Hemphill, Texas and became certified as a Yoga instructor. Shortly thereafter Dr. Natalia opened her own Yoga Studio and received her first degree Reike level. With her practice continuing to grow Dr. Natalia also worked as an Assistant Professor for Baylor College of Medicine while practicing in Lufkin, Texas.

During the COVID-19 crisis Dr. Natalia found the importance of her patients overall happiness, health, and wellbeing. “I want to help my patients reconnect with their body, mind and soul”. She has a passion for wellness care, management of anxiety, depression and also chronic conditions like: Diabetes, Hypertension, Chronic Fatigue, Hormonal imbalances, insomnia and heart disease. She uses mindful techniques and the opportunity to get you started on your personal wellness journey. Dr. Natalia is fluent in Spanish and English.

She spent years practicing Western and learning Eastern medicine. Combined, Dr. Natalia has learned to apply a holistic approach for the care of her patients. Dr. Natalia works closely with each individual to address their unique concerns and personalizes each plan of care to best suit their needs.


Stafford Long, PA-C

Stafford Long, PA-C was born in Shreveport, LA and has been a lifelong resident. He graduated from Loyola College Preparatory High School and Louisiana Tech University.

He graduated from the Physician Assistant Program at LSU Medical Center in 1998. He is board certified in medicine and surgery scoring in the top ten percent on the exams.

Upon graduating, Stafford began his post graduate training in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery with David P. Hamm, MD. In 2001, he returned to LSU Medical Center as Clinical Instructor in Emergency Medicine and joined Dr. Fred Yates to start the first Emergency Medicine Fast Track Program at St. Francis Medical Center before returning to Shreveport. He completed two additional years of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery with Dr. Vyas Rao which included complexed neonatal procedures. Stafford performed the first endoscopic SVG harvest by a PA at Willis Knighton Bossier. He then completed a year of Orthopedic Surgery training at Willis Knighton North before resuming his Emergency Medicine practice with a renowned ER group LEMA at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, TX in 2005. After returning to Shreveport in 2011, he joined Velocity Urgent Treatment Center prior to beginning his current position as Lead PA at Christus Highland Medical Center’s department of Emergency Medicine.

Stafford is a licensed pilot, scuba diver, avid shooter, hunter, and is active in multiple service organizations that support combat veterans including Navy SEALs Fund where he is involved in fundraising efforts to assist warfighters returning home from defending America.

He has one daughter and attends St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Shreveport. In addition to assisting Dr. Michael with his concierge practice, Stafford is passionate about and looks forward to building a practice that serves first responders, veterans, and their families.
